- Julie Tattershall is the Artistic and Managing director of Heller Theatre and Clark Theatre for the City of Tulsa, Park and Recreation Department. She has directed over 70 plays, developed a national original play contest, created an improvisational troupe which has been performing for the last twenty years, performed in over 300 improvisational shows and implement touring projects throughout Tulsa area. She co-founded the Tulsa Area Community Theatre Alliance in 1998. She has worked for Harwelden the Tulsa Art and Humanities Council since 1988. And was with the Artist in the Schools program from 1988-2004. She was also part of the Oklahoma Artist in Residence program for two years. She was an actress in the national tour for “Where Red Fern Grows” with the Omaha Theatre Co. She taught theatre programs in several alternative education schools in the Tulsa area. Creator of “Women Writes”, touring theatre project on social issues, which performed for 23 times in four years and received a governors citation of appreciation.

Long time no speak. Hope the New Year is finding you well.
A couple of quick questions...I hear that Heller Theater is moving...what's happening to the old theater space? And, i know you are over at Clark these days. How young are the Clarkies in general. I have an 11 year old that is chomping at the bit to do some theater with people her age and with the occasional exception of Sapulpa Community Theatre, there's not anything in our vicinity that's targeted at her age group. Just a-wonderin'.

ARE the same dates I'm scheduled to do "Tales From the Top,"
part of Claremore's "Dickens on the Boulevard". Gosh darn it!
Otherwise, I would LOVE to be part of the L.M. Improv show and
the coffee house poetry readings, if I hadn't already committed
to do "Tales ---". Hopefully next time! Have a great weekend!
