Kristina Hughes, a New England native and a firm believer that through hard work and perseverance one's acting career can flourish to "expected heights" while unveiling "unexpected roles".
While growing up in Medford, Massachusetts and attending Lexington Christian Academy in the suburbs of Boston in her late teens, she was captivated by the Entertainment Industry while acting in local theatre productions, participating in finishing school and involving herself in modeling. Ms. Hughes then took the next step to follow her curiosity and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English/Communications with a concentration in Writing and Theatre from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island.
Soon after she made her way to NYC and Florida to train, audition and work as an actor on the sets of Thunder in Paradise, DropZone, Central Park West and on stage in Pomp, Duck and Circumstance. Shortly thereafter, Ms. Hughes experienced the thrill of competing in the world-renowned 'Miss USA Pageant' as the proud representative of 'The Constitution State'- embracing the coveted role of "Miss Connecticut USA".
With the intent of making acting her career, she re-located to Los Angeles. Since the big move she has appeared on Boston Legal, NYPD Blue, Old School, Unwrapped, Days of Our Lives, Party of Five --- has been cast in several independent films (most recently starring in the psychological thriller Green River --- has appeared in numerous short films, industrials and national commercials.
As an Entrepreneur, Ms. Hughes is also the co-founder of Holdon Log, LLC, a Los Angeles-based company that was founded in 2001 by performers (actors, models, comedians and background artists) who realized the need for organizational tools specifically designed for the performing community. The company launched with a single paper-based audition organizer entitled Holdon Log for Actors which was named one of "the absolute top 10 books" for actors by Back Stage West, Los Angeles' largest circulated weekly publication for performers.
They have since expanded their paper-based product line to include Young Actors, Background Artists, Models, Live Performers and Pageant Contestants, along with Submission Tracker and Booked Projects logbooks. The company also has a software division responsible for creating ActorTrack v2.0 -The Standard In Career Management Software For Actors, reviewed by ActorPoint.com as, "...the software program you need to organize your entire career."
Holdon Log, LLC has quickly become, and continues to remain, the Entertainment Industry's number one provider of niche-specific organizational tools designed to give performers the professional edge they need to log, track and manage their careers in a simple, yet effective manner. Ms. Hughes is extremely proud of her efforts involved with Holdon Log as she notes, "It's great working on set along side other performers who tell me that they rely on the Holdon Log products on a daily basis and the compliments from other Industry professionals who acknowledge the dedication and focus it takes to run two careers keeps me going."

Hi Kristina!
Thank you for getting back to me. Yes, I have had 3 successful table reads of "Hearts & Lies". It's a perfect vehicle for Sam Elliott/Tom Sellack, a 14 year-old female and you! I have a synopsis of all 3 of my scripts. I believe "Hearts & Lies" would be the easiest to get produced. Hope you are well! My Best, Jim

My Best to you,

Hi Kristina,
I wanted to email you again, requesting to send you a hardcopy of "Hearts & Lies". I won't pester you about this. I'm trying my best to do what I can do without an agent. Thanks, My Very Best to you, Jim
Hi Kristina...I just wanted to thank you for passing on the literary agent info...I sent out a new query letter to 20 agents, including the 2 that you sent to me...I appreciate you looking and passing that on...I'll let you know if anything happens...hope things are great with you...thanks again, Jim
Will do. My scripts are totally different in genres. The first two I wrote were for less than $10 mil budget. My 3rd is my big action/romance/mystery set in 1938 East Texas oil boom town. It's my Brad Pitt/Matt Damon blockbuster. Thanks for the advice...talk again! Jim
This is Jim again. I lived in Dallas as an actor for 20 years. I've written 3 screenplays...it seems impossible to get a literary agent. I'm still trying....
