Actress. Retired teacher of Spanish. Now working as a receptionist at the American Red Cross.
Biography:
Born in Tulsa. Went to live in Venezuela, South America when I was 2 yrs. old. Came back to the States at age 21. I am bilingual English/Spanish. I am "bi-cultural" Latino-Anglo. I enjoyed teaching for 17 years --I retired early in 2006. I have been aware of my love for the theatre since I was 9 years old. I've been involved in community theatre since 1979. I haven't done as much acting as I'd like to because there really hasn't been much that has called my attention. I was involved with American Indian Theatre for a while, then I studied at the University of Tulsa for 4.5 years. When I returned to community theatre it was to be in the first production of the Rocky Horror Show, directed by Ken Spence; later Ken directed me in Death and the Maiden, which was my first really intense role and at which time I discovered the true meaning of "honesty in acting". I am eternally thankful to Ken for that opportunity. After this I became quite distracted and stayed away from the stage for a long time after which I returned under the direction of Randy Whalen, in Rush Limbaugh in Night School; it was so much fun, my desire to act again was rekindled. I've worked in productions with Theatre Pops ever since then. Having the opportunity to work in The Three Penny Opera, under Star Hardgrove's direction has been super-fun. I am very glad to have been able to work with so much talent in this latter production on the Nightingale's stage!
!Hola, Graciela! (Sorry, I couldn't get that first
exclamation point upside down.) Welcome to
the network! Retired Spanish teacher, huh? That's
my dream, well the retired part anyway. I love
teaching, but it's so hard to find the time to do
everything I'd like to do. Your name is so
lovely. It's melodic. Hope you enjoy the network!
