Chris Crawford recently returned to Tulsa from Washington D.C. where he worked as an actor for the Shakespeare Theatre Company. Chris graduated from Oral Roberts University with B.S. in Theatre/Television/Film Performance with Advanced Training in Musical Theatre from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, NY. He also has his M.F.A. in Acting from the University of Arkansas. Chris is the National Winner of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Irene Ryan Award for Acting, as well as the Mark Twain Award for Outstanding Comedic Performance. Chris has worked in and around the Tulsa area for six years appearing in American Theatre Company’s productions of Bat Boy: the Musical, My Way: a Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra, and A Christmas Carol.
In 2009, Chris plans to open a Non-Profit Professional Theatre Company (The Playhouse Theatre) here in Tulsa which he hopes will integrate students with professional artists from all over the Nation, giving them the chance to work in an artistically excellent, professional atmosphere.
