I am looking for some local voice over talent for a client's Radio and TV commercials. I prefer:
Female
Nurturing, but not syrupy sweet
Professional, but not too proper
Warm, personable, happy (they should sound lit up inside)
Preferably no recognizable tv or radio talent currently.

anyone interested?

I'm with MTM (no, not Mary Tyler Moore) Model & Talent Management. They've sent me on a couple acting auditions, but none yet for voice overs.

When I was a student at TU I did the PSA's for the NPR affiliate station there. Got paid too although to be honest I would have done it for free. It was so much fun. I've done commercials for my parents store but that's about it. Would love to do more.

What about Public Service Announcements? Someone would have to be in to this. I would say that the best way to get involved is drum up your own business. I am with Fireside Talents. What about sending out cards with your info on it? I have had people who got those little card like cd's. Printed there info on it, or a powerpoint and did it that way. Just a thought.

what agency are you with, Ira?

I spoke again with my agent regarding voice overs, since paid acting work for someone in my age group is rare. She said voice overs are possible, but are many times handled by a DJ or other on air personality, although they may not have as wide variety of voices.

From what I have understood, it's hard to get. I would say that the market is worth developing. One of my friends works for Clear Channel and said there is a place in OKC that pimps out people for voiceover work, but as far as I know, haven't heard any jobs here. Time to start calling corporations.

Voiceover - sounds great! I've been offered voiceover work before but couldn't due to prior commitments. I hear you can work in sweatpants! (JK!) ...Nic...
